For more than forty years, John and Sukey Jamison’s lamb was the choice pick for the world’s most famous and influential chefs, from Julia Child to Jean Louis Palladin. Pioneers in the organic farming revolution along with the Rodales and Salatin family, the Jamisons established one of the world's most celebrated lamb farms.

At Ridgemeade Farm, we continue this legacy under the guidance and mentorship of John and Sukey Jammison.

Here we raise lambs using the Jamisons' pioneering regenerative methods, ensuring premier lamb that is all-natural, drug and antibiotic-free, and clean - having been raised entirely on chemical-free native pastures. Our unique microclimate along Lake Erie's southern shore mirrors the world’s most renowned sheep-producing regions like Sisteron, France, and Canterbury, New Zealand.

Our holistic management method of grazing and our dedication to cultivating native pastures imparts subtle flavors of carrot, herbs, and honey to our fall-harvested meat. Unlike industrial producers, our traditionally raised lambs offer lean, delicately flavored cuts for the most discerning palates. Experience the superior taste of our ethically raised, terroir-driven lamb – a true reflection of our exceptional terroir and climate.

In 2026 we will begin wholesale and retail cuts of lamb, delivered or shipped weekly from our farm to your kitchen in less than three days. This is our “Farm Fresh to Chef” guarantee. Wholesale inquiries can be made HERE.
